How to Start Microsoft Word

There are two methods to open Microsoft Word on Windows:

First Method:

Step1. Click “Start” Button, it is a small button with Windows icon, generally found at bottom left of your screen.

Step 2. Click “All programs”.

Step 3.  Scroll down the list and look for Microsoft Office folder and click on it. This folder will exist if and only if you have installed Microsoft Office on your computer

Step 4. You will see whole set of applications in this folder, look for “Word”. It can be “Word 2007” or “Word 2010” or “Word 2013” based on your installed version of Microsoft Office.

Second Method:

Step 1. click “Start” button, it is a small button with Windows icon, generally found at bottom left of your screen.

Step 2. Type “run” keyword in search box (search box is a text box that appears just above start button, after you have clicked start button and it will have by default text as “Search programs and files”).

Step 3. You will see a set of applications, matching “run”. Click on “Run” application that appears on the top of search results.

Step 4. On clicking “Run” applications, you will see a box like in below screenshot.Type “Winword” in that box and click ok. it will open MS Word.
